2017 Chapter Scholarship
The Mid-Illinois Chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS)
annually selects two students pursuing undergraduate degrees in Risk
Management, Insurance, or related fields to receive a $1,000 scholarship.
Each candidate must be a full-time student, non-senior, and have at least a
3.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale. They must also submit a written essay
describing their future goals and plans upon graduation. As always, it
was a very competitive field of candidates.

Peyton Ferrara Peyton is a junior at Illinois State double majoring in Risk Management/Insurance and Finance. Peyton has been heavily involved outside of the classroom in organizations such as Alpha Kappa Psi a professional business fraternity and Gamma Iota Sigma a risk management organization. Peyton has held multiple leadership positions in Alpha Kappa Psi in which he is the current Vice President of Finance and will be the Director of outreach for Gamma Iota Sigma next school year.
Nick Mullinax Nick is currently a junior pursuing a double major in Risk Management & Insurance and Finance at the Katie School of Insurance at Illinois State University. He is actively involved as the chapter president of Gamma Iota Sigma, the international risk management, insurance, and actuarial science collegiate fraternity.
